The Evidence Base in Brief

homepage image
The Social Transfers Evidence Base is an Internet-based database system that enables users to extract bullet-point summaries on programme impact from over 140 studies. The engine of the system is a user-updateable database (click on Evidences ) with programme impacts summarised in bullet-point format and classified by country, programme type and impact type.

Programmes from over 40 countries are represented, and more than two-thirds of the records are from papers or reports produced in the past five years. A linked database provides a reference list indicating the full details for each paper or report cited. For help, click on Help. Users are encouraged to register for the system (click on Register), which will allow you to add entries to the database and comment on other entries.

The Economic Policy Research Institute (EPRI) created this evidence system with funding provided by UKaid from the Department for International Development (DFID), however the views expressed do not necessarily reflect the department's official policies.
